Deep system: With an operating depth of 5000 meters, this system configuration requires a 96,000 Lbs (43,636 Kgs) Lantec Winch and a 12,000 Lbs (5454 Kgs) cage. The cage is used to lower the vehicle to operating depth as well as decouple it from the ship's heave. The system is deployed using the ship's A-frame with a weight rating relative to the deployment's depth.
